Technology Industry “Gets It” with Statewide Community-Focused Internet TV Portal

TAG TV at www.TAGtvOnline.com features originally produced live and on-demand events and programs, weekly audio broadcasts, and a unique selection of technology-industry focused videos as a statewide technology media portal for business professionals.  A collaborative between the Technology Association of Georgia and globalspeak.com new media, TAG TV offers a diverse selection of programs, including
•    once a year hours-long segmented video event specials such as the Georgia Technology Summit,
•    monthly TAG Society video presentations such as the recent CIO panel from Verison Wireless, McKesson Technology Solutions and Turner Broadcasting,
•    weekly 15 minute Tech Talk Radio shows hosted by TAG President Tino Mantella interviewing Georgia’s technology thought leaders from such companies as Google, AT&T, The Weather Channel and more
•    a daily show (usually 3-10 minutes) on WebVisions featuring hard to find technology news and information-related YouTube videos each week day, Monday through Friday.

Utilizing RSS feeds from technology experts around the World Wide Web, the TAG TV portal also is constantly fed other technology-related video and audio content, featuring popular shows such as “Cranky Geek,” “NPR Technology” and “ComputerWorld Live” for online technology news and information viewing on one focused statewide portal.  In addition, TAG TV presents 15 “best of” YouTube and other premier peer-to-peer technology video clips on the home page, featured at given times based on popularity or importance of their unique content.  The clips range from hilarious to serious, from knowledge-based to trendy.

Announced as a “beta” version, the TAG TV and TAG Radio portal already has a list of new shows in production and schedules of live technology events to be taped and presented throughout 2009.  TAG TV -- all technology, all Georgia -- is focused on a need for information and community connectivity by Georgia technology professionals.  Next?  Social networking.
“Georgia’s technology industry gets it,” states Technology Association of Georgia President Tino Mantella, “and the response both in positive comments and audience has been far greater than we ever anticipated.”  He continues, “a daily dose of WebVisions and current new localized TAG TV programming keeps Georgia’s business community interested in technology -- which drives everything -- up to date!”  Additional online TV and radio content will expand rapidly with fast track implementation of regular programming from an exclusive relationship with the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) and its 22 TAG Societies.  TAG TV is a joint venture between TAG and globalspeak new media.  Along with the primary home network portal web site, globalspeak plans to construct a virtual statewide affiliate network, offering individual audio and video channels on the TAG TV network portal to chambers and economic development-related agencies for feeding news and information into TAG TV portal, as well as free affiliate channel Web site links on partner sites to TAG TV for a true state of Georgia technology news, information and education exchange portal.
Technology company executives will want to take note of an exclusive series of radio and TV shows that just began production about products and services of value to technology professionals. Created for sourcing and global outreach, the series of video programs will emphasize not only the product or service but also the personality of the company that only the executive component can provide.  A searchable directory will give the audience easy access to the shows.
Statewide virtual networking capabilities, through a Community section where technology professionals create extensive company and personal identities for sharing and searching, will include text and peer-to-peer audio and video.  Soon, any technology professional anywhere in Georgia will be able to find the right contact in the TAG TV Community.
The ultimate on-demand virtual networking tool, live face-to-face Internet-based conferencing using Web cams in an online conference room, will be available soon for instant meeting, greeting and collaboration.  Whether in Savannah, Augusta, Columbus, Athens, Dalton or Atlanta, technology professionals will be connected and informed using TAG TV’s best of breed and advanced Web 2.0 tools.  For even more… stay tuned!
