Michelle Mindala-Freeman, Vice President Marketing and Product Management, Landis & Gyr

Ms. Mindala-Freeman is the VP, Marketing and Product Management for Landis+Gyr. In this role she leads the product management teams in developing strategy, creating the vision that defines product future and communicating the value of the Landis+Gyr solutions to the market. Ms. Mindala-Freeman also actively participates in industry organizations and works to develop and promote solutions that benefit the utility industry overall.  Prior to joining Landis+Gyr, Ms. Mindala-Freeman spent eighteen years in the telecommunications industry in product development and product management with Motorola and AT&T.


Bob Ray,CEO and President, Flint Energies (Member Oglethorpe Power Corporation EMC)

Robert (“Bob”) Ray, Jr. serves as President/CEO for Flint Energies, where he began employment May, 2003. Ray’s responsibilities involve oversight of day to day company operations serving 80,000+ consumers in the 17 county service area, through four senior managers covering Corporate Services, Engineering & Operations, Finance & Accounting, and Member & Community Relations. Ray was appointed President/CEO by the Flint Board of Directors January 1, 2005. Prior to joining Flint Energies, Ray served as Assistant Secretary of State/Chief Operating Officer under Secretary of State Cathy Cox from 1999 to 2003. His service with the state was preceded by managing a fifth generation family farm in Crawford County, Georgia, while concurrently being president and owner of Mitochondria, Inc., a corporation dedicated to lobbying and various agricultural-related endeavors started in 1995. Ray is a former legislative director for Georgia Farm Bureau Federation, where he served from 1989 to 1995. Prior to that time, Ray worked as a corporate lending officer with NCNB National Bank (now Bank of America) in Atlanta.


Ken Van Meter, Business Development Director –Enterprise Integration Group, Lockheed Martin

Ken’s experience spans multiple industries. At Pfizer, Ken pioneered new applications for the company’s chemical division. At AT&T, he used emerging techniques and software tools to change the way the North America network was managed. At Sprint, Ken turned a failing video conferencing business into a market leader culminating in a 8,000 percent revenue growth, a $5.5 billion Federal contract win and receipt of the industry’s Man of the Year award. While President, Bell Atlantic Video Services and later, as Acting President Tele-TV Systems, Ken led the development of video-on-demand and interactive TV technologies that helped to define this industry. During the last 15 years much of Ken’s focus has been in the energy industry where his roles as CEO Celerity and dual roles as both CTO and VP Operations of Prenova, a national energy management services company have powered the growth for these companies. Ken’s accomplishments include six patent filings in technologies ranging from digital set top boxes to energy processes and analytical tools.
