More About the TAG Business Launch Competition
The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) Business Launch Competition
supports Georgia’s burgeoning start-up community by helping local
entrepreneurs to launch their businesses. Since it was founded in 2006, it
has become one of largest competitions of its kind in the United States,
providing $450,000 in cash and over $1,000,000 in donated services and has
helped more than 200 young entrepreneurs connect with successful
entrepreneurs and investors in mentoring relationships.
TAG aims to support the creation and growth of new companies that will
strengthen and expand Georgia's strategic high-tech clusters. The Business
Launch is an event designed to help a local start up technology-based
company launch its business. The 2012 contest winner will receive $50,000
in cash and more than $400,000 in services. This event rewards high-tech
entrepreneurship and assures that a deserving Georgia start up company has
everything in place to be successful.
The TAG Business Launch 2012 invited entries in the area of Internet
Technologies, including software and hardware companies that are
developing products, online services, or backend technologies, which
extend the reach, flexibility and ease of the Internet.
